"Excellent Chinese restaurant. Not your typical westernised Chinese restaurant, the dishes I tried here were authentic. I've never tried Hunan style Chinese cuisine, but it's somewhat similar to Sichuan style. The best of the three dishes was the special "spicy numbing" stir fry dish. You choose what ingredients you want for the dish (typically 4 featured ingredients) and it is served as a large dish to share. That was really delicious! The fragrant fish aubergine dish (it's a style of dish that doesn't actually have fish in), was nice and the vegetable noodles were very tasty. Service was nice. It's cash only which I had no idea about so it's good to know. The restaurant is casual, not fine dining or trendy, but the food is really standout... It's very hard to find good authentic non-westenised Chinese food in the UK. 100% will return."

"Really good overall. Will come back for sure. Beef was nice and tender in the noodles, brisket beef could have been thicker but tasty never the less. Happy, great crab and sweetcorn soup."

"Delicious, authentic Chinese food in the Kingston area. I’ve been coming here for a few years now and the quality has been consistently good. Prices are reasonable and the service is always friendly. Please note that they only take cash here. There is a Sainsbury cash point about 3 min walk from the restaurant."

"Very authentic Sichuan Chinese food and have great variety of dishes. Prices are also reasonable. Where it says spicy, it IS very spicy so don't take it lightly and tread carefully if you can take chillies well :) Eating here actually reminded me of food I had in Chengdu China - spicy and deciduous! They also have lots of non spicy options available. We'll be coming back for sure"

"Recently I have been to a number of Chinese restaurants and Little Hunan is my new favourite. Going on a Monday lunchtime I expected it to empty but it was nearly full and the two women running the place were both really friendly. The food was full of flavour and the fish was particularly good. It’s only about 35 minutes from home so now I’ve found it I plan to return! Update : I’ve now returned about five times and each time I enjoy it more. Every dish I’ve tasted has been fantastic and full of flavour and interest. This is so far away from the typical food you get in your local Chinese restaurant. Try it; you will love it."

"We didn’t order much typical Hunan cuisine dishes as some of us are a “picky”with their choice of food. The intestines dish was good. Roast duck was ok, the wraps were not homemade, so can make better ones. Singapore noodles are average. Didn’t like the sweet-and-sour chicken- never like them not a Chinese fish really. Sizzling beef dish was ok - have tried better one before. We haven’t tried their hotpot. The menus/ food that you can have look good, but will update this next time. The Soju on the menu are not Korean soju, it’s just the very strong Chinese rice wine at 56% Alcohol. You wouldn’t like it if you are not used to the taste. On street parking is pay and display or by app for one hour or two hours opposite side of the road. Staff are friendly and offer good service. Will try their hotpot and give you the final verdict."

"It was my birthday yesterday and me and my family went here last night, we had reserved a table for 6:15 but we reached late (6:45) and they were totally understanding, the food was absolutely amazing, we had ordered salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper squids, chicken fried rice, chicken fried noodles, duck fried noodles and Singapore fried noodles, with some drinks. The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, honestly perfect, even the service was incredibly fast, our food arrived really quick and the atmosphere was amazing. They have such good hospitality! She gave us a traditional Chinese dessert for free because it was my birthday (she is soo sweet) and the dessert was perfect as well! She also gave me a coconut juice which was so nice and refreshing! This place is a must if you haven’t tried already! Amazing people and amazing food, 10/10"
